The next Vegas extravaganza was Cirque du Soleil's "Mystere" (7/1/08) at the Treasure Island. I was amazed at how traditional circus acts were seamlessly incorporated into a (almost) wordless world saturated with surreal yet playful images. A highlight were the shenanigans of the baby-clown, one of the funniest performances I've seen all year ... in, can you believe it, a Cirque show!

Mystere (Cirque du Soleil at the Treasure Island) – 7/1/08
The next Vegas extravaganza was Cirque du Soleil's "Mystere" (7/1/08) at the Treasure Island. I was amazed at how traditional circus acts were seamlessly incorporated into a (almost) wordless world saturated with surreal yet playful images. A highlight were the shenanigans of the baby-clown, one of the funniest performances I've seen all year ... in, can you believe it, a Cirque show!
