"Million Dollar Quartet" at the Goodman Theatre is a fun night out, no more / no less. Based on the historic 1956 recording session which included Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley. The show is enthusiastically performed, although in my opinion, the whole thing would have worked better without all the exposition and hallow dramatic confrontations. Just let the extraordinary music and stellar musical performances do all the work.
