New Leaf Theatre has staged a very sensitive show in "Six Years", whose premise is to document the state of a couple's relationship every six years (starting in after World War II). There is certain sense of gimmickry in the structure and some of the dialogue comes off as a bit trite, but New Leaf overcomes these obstacles through honest performances. This is my third visit to this fledgling company, and I must say I applaud their smart, subtle use of lighting and sound, as well as their ingenious use of their in-the-round space at the Lincoln Park Cultural Center.
